Wale is a rapper that really makes you listen to what he's saying due to the sheer wordplay he uses, the subject matter that he focuses on (at times) and his honest, self-exposing, faults and all delivery. Additionally, he is truly poetic in making his words come out in cadence that would sound deeply musical even as an acapella. "Fine Girl" is our choice to focus on from his new album but we really could have picked several. However, we felt that "Fine Girl" features some of the best aspects of the album, it has a dancehall flavor, the romantic side we've come to know from previous cuts like "Matrimony" (a favorite), as well as an infectious chorus.
This song could be easily enjoyed whilst playing pitch and putt under the sun, on a patio with tacos and beers, or hell, even wrestling someone on a couch.
