Vandelux - Stimulus

[ PREMIERE ]

If you don't know who Vandelux is, you don't know what Hype Machine is... recently this guy has been tearing up the chart with his remixes of Notorious BIG, and Snoop Dogg, among others.

Today, we are f@cking honoured to premiere Vandelux's first original track!
Maybe the coolest part, he found the acoustic sample at a Thrift Shop on Main St. while he was visiting Vancouver. So cool! And the vocals layered overtop are from 1950's Mississippi state school board educational videos! Man, the craft that goes into a tune like this is somethin' else.

Describing the track, Vandelux says "the narratives have been arranged in an attempt to speak to the evolution of hip hop - a genre derived from another artist's emotional interpretation of the original, and often to the original artist's dismay, warped and made possible through technology.  At the climax of the track you can faintly hear Fred McDowell (1960's blues legend) crying out 'lord I believe I've paid my dues' in the background... to be taken as original artist's music style getting no credit for their music being tormented by the new generation."

So it's a banger, and a thesis. So cool. What you think!? Love it? Us too.
